From CCMC on January 31st 2011:
The association was informed of an unfortunate event that happened this morning around 7:40 a.m. One of our residents was attacked and bitten by a dog outside her home. We believe the owner of the dog is a Northgate resident and we need to locate this pet owner.
The incident was at 2134 Marconi, the dog is a blue gray pit bull, and was being walked by a man, (mid to late 40’s). He was also walking a smaller terrier or similar breed of dog. It’s our understanding this dog is regularly walked in the neighborhood. If you can help us identify this owner please contact the association office as there needs to be verification if the dog was infected with rabies.
Since we have not been able to identify the dog, please use caution when approaching an unfamiliar dog and thank you for your assistance. Our office contact information is listed below.

A message from one of our fellow Northgate residents:
Just want to put out a heads up for those who live near or have their home listed for sale. Today I encountered a potential burglar in our backyard. If your home is for sale (like ours was until this incident), they will ring the door bell first and if it appears that no one is home they will go to the backyard. I just happened to be home at the time but did not answer the door. When he noticed I was home and in the backyard, he quickly ran to the front and got in his vehicle. I followed him by foot but was unable to get a license plate. They know what they are doing because he made sure I could not see the back of his vehicle as he drove in reverse to the end of the street and out. It was a white, Chevy S10 single cab, older model with some front drivers side damage with blue paint. Please ask everyone to look out for each other and report any suspicious vehicles.
We received this email from Terry Lucas today:
Just a note to let you know that our grandson who also lives in Northgate, on 22nd Dr, had a break-in and two mountain bikes were stolen from his storage shed. In broad daylight no less! Lesson learned….make sure your sheds are locked and for that matter your gates!!
As some of you may already know, the goal of Block Watch is to detect, deter and/or delay crime. This robbery is a good reminder for you to review your security at your home as well as keep an eye out for suspicious activity in your neighborhood. If you see something suspicious happening on a neighbor’s property, alert your neighbor if you have their contact information and/or call the police.
The more vigilant that we all are, the more likely it is that criminals will not target our neighborhood.
Please see that attached for our quarterly meeting minutes.
